The system performance slows down when use SATA HDD and LSI SAS controller (1064E/1068) to make a RAID. But there has no this kind issue when use IDE and RAID 0 mode.
There is a problem with LSI SAS controller (1064E/1068) and SATA HDD, particularly in RAID mode.
Because the default value of write cache of LSI SAS controller is disable; this issue might cause the system performance slows down.
However, this issue will be fixed if you enable the function.
There are some steps will be helpful and show as below,
1.Please down load the latest driver for 1064E/1068 and MegaRAID Storage Manager (MSM) tool from LSI website (
Here) or you can download from utility download option.
2.Update the latest driver for 1064E/1068.
3.Then install LSI MegaRAID Storage Manager (MSM) tool and login.
4.Find a function "Disk Cache Policy" and enable it.
